REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS Goliad County Goliad County is seeking qualified attorneys or legal firms to provide legal services specializing in eminent domain. These services are required to assist the County in matters related to property acquisition, condemnation proceedings, and related litigation. The selection process will follow applicable federal, state, and local procurement guidelines. Submission Details: All SOQs must be submitted as two (2) hard copies and one (1) digital copy. Late submissions will not be considered. The selected firm will provide legal services related to eminent domain, including but not limited to: 1. Advisory Services: o Legal guidance on property acquisition and condemnation processes. o Compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. 2. Negotiation and Mediation: o Conduct negotiations with property owners. o Participate in mediation to resolve disputes. 3. Litigation Services: o Represent the City in court for condemnation cases. o Prepare pleadings, motions, and conduct discovery. 4. Contract and Document Review: o Draft, review, and finalize contracts, purchase agreements, and related legal documents. 5.
